Organic Wheat, Rye, Spelt, Einkorn, & Polenta
Calling all bakers!
If you haven't stopped in for a while, you may not know we have a lot more than just pastured meat and naturally raised produce. One of our favorite finds in the last year or so is the collection of organic grains and stone-ground flours from Janie's Mill!
We carry a variety of their stone-ground wheats and ancient grains:
High Protein Glenn, a hard red spring wheat excellent for bread (finely sifted)
Frederick White, a soft white winter wheat excellent for cake (finely sifted) Rye (both light and dark, finely sifted)
Spelt, a nutrient dense ancient grain (whole kernel flour)
Einkorn, the oldest and most nutrient-dense of the ancient grains (whole-kernel flour)
Golden Yellow Polenta (Grits)

All of Janie's Mill products are certified organic and Kosher, and the majority of the grains are grown at their family farm in Illinois.

Produce
We continue to have locally, sustainably sourced sweet potatoes, honey boat delicata squash, longkeeper onions, carrots, sunchokes, fresh mushrooms (including Maitake, Bianco Nebrodini, Forest Nameko, Alba or Brown Clamshell, Trumpet Royale or chef's samplers with an excellent mix), and a limited supply and mix of potatoes.
