Indiana Grown is the State Department of Agriculture’s initiative to promote products grown or made within the state. This initiative makes it easier for Hoosiers to shop locally and connect with farmers in their area 🧑‍🌾 🤝

Buying locally grown or made products promotes job growth, reduces environmental impact by limiting the distance goods travel before reaching your home, and keeps money within the local economy.

Purchasing local food also means you’re more likely to buy in-season products, which are harvested at their peak of ripeness since they don’t have to travel far. The flavor and nutrient density of in-season products is unparalleled!

Produce

This week’s fresh harvest includes a growing offering from our gardens, all available Wednesday through Saturday!

  • Beans—Wax, Roma, and Green!

  • Beets (with tops)—Many varieties: Touchstone Gold, Cylindra, and more!

  • Blueberries (frozen)

  • Broccoli  Thursday harvest!

  • Bunching Onions—Two varieties: Red Baron and Parade

  • Cabbage (purple and green)

  • Carrots  Thursday harvest!

  • Cherry Tomatoes—many varieties!

  • Cucumbers 

  • Garlic—beautiful, delicious, large bulbs

  • Herbs—Fresh (celery, chives, green garlic, lavender, mint, oregano, parsley, sage, spearmint, etc.) and dried options available!

  • Kale

  • Kohlrabi

  • Head Lettuce (Romaine) 

  • Heirloom Tomatoes—of many varieties!

  • Horseradish

  • Leeks

  • Mushrooms—Chef's Sampler (Maitake, Alba and Brown Clamshell)

As always, our produce is GMO-free and grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides — and we make sure it stays that way, even for crops  that are tricky to grow naturally!

Dairy & Eggs

This week’s options include:

  • Grass-fed, organic, non-homogenized, low heat pasteurized butter, cheese  (GGC sharp cheddar), French Dip, kefir, sour cream, and yogurt! 

  • Chicken eggs AND duck eggs this week! Our eggs are hand harvested and cleaned. Our chickens are raised on not simply organic but also a soy free grain mix along with their free range diet. There really is nothing like the consistency and flavor of these delectable treats . . . we bring out the connoisseurs!
