Pre-Order Your Turkey Now – Don't Miss Out! 🦃

October flew by, and we can’t believe it’s already almost November. 🍁 🍠 This is your friendly reminder to place your turkey pre-order before it’s too late! Turkeys will be available for pickup starting Thursday, November 14th.

We’re excited to announce that our turkey prices remain the same as last year, all while maintaining the same great quality! Our turkeys are free-range and sustainably raised by a small family farm on open pastures, with organic feed and no antibiotics—there's no comparison to mass-production!

Make sure to get your order in over the next few weeks by checking your approximate preferred weight along with a tentative pickup date on your pre-order form. We'll have limited quantities of turkey and plenty of other seasonal goods. 🦃

Produce

This week’s local fresh harvest includes a stunning autumn abundance!!

  • Apples (fresh Gala, Honeycrisp, and Jonagold)—reduced rates on purchases 2# and up to make your favorite apple pies!

  • Beets

  • Blueberries (frozen)

  • Cauliflower—we’re still pending feedback from our garden team but are hopeful that we will have enough large enough to harvest this week!

  • Carrots!

  • Cherry Tomatoes (heirloom varieties)! 

  • Garlic—beautiful, delicious, large bulbs

  • Heirloom Tomatoes—get the last of the season gifts from the gardens, we have our rare, flavorful pastes this week too!

  • Herbs—Fresh (celery, chives, cilantro, mint, oregano, parsley, sage, spearmint, thyme, etc.) and dried options available!

  • Kale

  • Leeks—enjoy in any soup or stew!

  • Lettuce (head and mixed leaf) and Greens Mixes!

  • Mushrooms—fresh shiitake! And, dried options available! If you haven’t dried your own shiitake’s yet, ask us for ideas! Healthy food for all seasons.

  • Onions (Slicing and Bunching)—Dried and Green options

  • Peppers Peppers Peppers!! (sweet and some hot!)—Not many left but we do have some. These are the first plants to go, sadly, during the first hard frost (which we’ve had)

  • Potatoes (Blues, Yellow Fingerlings, Red Nolans and Kennebecs)

  • Radishes (Cherry Belles and Daikon)

  • Raspberries (frozen)

  • Red Florence!—Called Red Long of Florence (rare, delicate flavor, delicious and disappearing fast)!

  • Squash (Winter)—Butternut

  • Swiss Chard

  • Turnips

  • Watermelon—red heirlooms, exceedingly sweet and delicious seedless minis!

As always, our produce is GMO-free and grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides — and we make sure it stays that way, even for crops that are tricky to grow naturally!

Dairy & Eggs

This week’s options include:

  • Grass-fed, organic, non-homogenized, low heat pasteurized milk, butter, cheese  (cottage cheese and GGC sharp cheddar), kefir, sour cream and yogurt! It’s difficult to keep whipping cream in stock. So, please plan ahead and let us know 2 weeks in advance for cream and all dairy!

  • Chicken eggs AND duck eggs this week! Our eggs are hand harvested and cleaned. Our chickens are raised on not simply organic but also a soy free grain mix along with their free range diet. There really is nothing like the consistency and flavor of these delectable treats from heritage breeds . . . we bring out the connoisseurs!

Meat Availability

This week’s options (while supplies last) include:

  • Beef Prime Steaks: Filet, NY Strip, Ribeye, Sirloin, Porterhouse and T-Bone! And yes, for those who’ve been waiting, we just re-stocked our filets and ribeyes

  • Beef Savory Roasts, Steaks & Ribs: Brisket, Chuck, Chuck Arm, Flank, Flat Iron, Mock Tenderloin, Skirt, and Rump & Sirloin Tip Roasts and Steaks.

  • Beef Grill Options: Beef Patties (3 or 4 pk) and Ground Beef! We're also carrying The Brooklyn Hot Dog Company dogs: All Beef or Beef & Pork! Buy two or more packages for a 10% discount (see our boxes on our pre-order form)!

  • Beef Stew & Organ Meat Options: Stew and Organ Meats, including cheeks, heart, kidney, liver, spleen, sweet breads, and more! 

  • Chicken: (frozen): Whole and Cut-ups (breast—bone-in / skin on and boneless / skinless, thighs, leg quarters, drums, and wings—a 10% discount if you buy 2 pkgs wings or drums!!). Ground Chicken and Sweet Italian Chicken Sausage! And, chicken organ meat (including: backs, necks, feet, liver, gizzard, and heart)!

  • Lamb:

    • Lamb Loin and Rib Chops!— unbelievably tender and tasty . . . melt in your mouth tasty!

    • Lamb Shoulder Chops and Roasts

    • Lamb Spareribs, Soup Bones, and organ meats—Note: have you tried the spareribs?? Amazing . . . a luxury at a great price! Impress your guests and surprise them with something they haven't tried before!

  • Pork: Andouille, British Curry, Cajun, Fresh Kielbasa, Italian (Hot or Sweet), Merguez, Mild Breakfast, Real Vermonter's Maple, Merguez, Fresh Kielbasa, and Oaxacan Adobo Sausage!  All from our pannage raised pork and organically sourced spice blends (featuring the Teeny Tiny Spice Co). Note: have you tried our pork patties? They come plain or with salt & pepper. You can also get them in a convenient 3-pack or 4-pack. However you slice it, your family grills will never be the same after trying these. The flavor is undeniably delicious.

    • Pork Chops (thick or thin / boneless or bone-in) & Steaks and Spareribs and more! Other cuts: Back Fat for making your own lard! And Pork Neck Bones for that favorite Pasta Sauce flavor. 

    • Pork Roasts: Like pulled pork? We have both the Pork Butt and the Picnic Roasts fresh frozen. It’s what you’ve been asking for and this season we’ve been able to offer it. If you want to add another layer to your slow cooks, try our smoked hams with our unique, natural smoke cure with real fruit pectin rather than celery salt used in the natural blend.

    • Smoked bacon, bacon ends and Jowl bacon, smoked pork chops, ham steaks and  ham hocks for your special meals!! Or, for a smokey sausage, try our bacon cooked in your skillet or toaster oven with any of the sausage for that delicious flavor that comes with smoked sausage.

  • Turkey: Frozen Whole and Cut-ups! Breasts (boneless / skin on) and backs for amazing soup stock available. And turkey gizzards! Soon to come, a whole montage of additional cuts! 😊 Whole turkeys, for the season, are available through our pre-order form, and will be available for pickup starting Thursday, Nov. 14th.
