🐥 New Chicks, RAMPS, & Specialty Roast Pre-Orders! 🤩

We’re full of exciting things to share this week!

First on the list: we recently got more laying chicks, and they’re just the cutest little things to observe and care for. We got three varieties—Americanas, Barred Plymouth Rock, and Buff Orpingtons. We’re looking forward to the gift of their eggs!

We’ve also officially entered a very special time – RAMP SEASON! 😍 If you don’t know what ramps are, or you love the taste of garlic and onions but have never tried a ramp, now is your chance. These beauties are in the Allium genus (think garlic, onions, leeks, etc.)—in fact, they’re also known as wild leeks. They’re beloved by chefs for their unique flavor – they pack a punch with their pungent, garlicky, onion-like taste, and they’re absolutely delicious on just about anything. Part of what makes them so special is their very short growing season, so get them while you can!

Produce

This week’s local fresh harvest includes a stunning, winter abundance!!

  • Arugula

  • Beets

  • Blueberries (frozen)

  • Carrots

  • Herbs— fresh chives, dill, celery, rosemary and plenty of dried options available!

  • Kale

  • Lettuce (mixed leafy and head)

  • Mixed Greens

As always, our produce is GMO-free and grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides — and we make sure it stays that way, even for crops  that are tricky to grow naturally!

Dairy & Eggs

This week’s options include:

  • Grass-fed, organic, non-homogenized, low heat pasteurized milk (A1/A2 mix option this week), butter (limited supply), cheese (cottage cheese and GGC sharp cheddar), buttermilk, French dip, kefir, yogurt (plain or vanilla), and whipping cream. Please plan ahead and let us know 2-3 weeks in advance for cream and all dairy (if you can), it helps. Thank you to all those who are working hard to help us make that happen.

  • Chicken AND Duck eggs this week! Our eggs are hand harvested and cleaned. Our chickens are raised on not simply organic but also a soy free grain mix along with their free range diet. There really is nothing like the consistency and flavor of these delectable treats from heritage breeds . . . we bring out the connoisseurs!

  • Beef Savory Roasts, Steaks & Ribs: Brisket (plenty large enough for smoking), Chuck Arm, Round (top, bottom, eye, and full), Flat Iron, Mock Tenderloin, and Rump & Sirloin Tip Roasts and Steaks. 

  • Beef Grill Options: Ground Beef and Round. Beef Patties (3 or 4 pk)! We're also carrying The Brooklyn Hot Dog Company dogs: All Beef or Beef & Pork! Buy two or more packages for a 10% discount (see our boxes on our pre-order form)!

  • Beef Stew & Organ Meat Options: Stew Meat (limited supply), Soup bones and Organ Meats, including cheeks, heart, kidney, liver, and more! 

  • Chicken (frozen): Whole, Cut-ups (breast—boneless / skinless, leg quarters, and drums—a 10% discount if you buy 2 pkgs or more of leg quarters or drums while supplies last!!). We also have Ground Chicken and Sweet Italian Chicken Sausage! And, chicken organ meat (including: backs, necks, feet, liver, and gizzard)!

  • Duck (frozen): Whole only

    • Pork Roasts: Like pulled pork? We have both the Pork Butt and the Picnic Roasts fresh frozen (about 2.5 to >8 lbs each).
