Free-range Turkeys, Fresh Produce, & More! (+This Week's Meat, Dairy & Veggies)

Turkeys are getting nervous because it’s almost that time of the year! Make sure to get your order in soon; we'll have limited quantities of pastured turkey, and plenty of other seasonal goods like pumpkins, potatoes, organic cranberry preserve (delicious with turkey!), sweet potatoes, sweet onions, and more!

We'll also have a select and limited supply of beef prime steaks and roasts, lamb roasts and chops, pork chops and sausage, smoked ham, specialty bacon, and whole chickens or cut-ups.

Produce

This week’s harvest includes a variety of fresh herbs, leafy greens, heirloom tomatoes, root vegetables, fresh oyster & shiitake mushrooms, squash, and more! 

  • Apples—fresh, local, delicious, and like the rest of what we do, no chemicals! We hope to have several additional varieties available by Thursday (including Honeycrisp, Gala, Jonagold, Red Delicious, Empire, and more) as well as Apple Cider in half gallon containers!

  • Beets--with big, beautiful tops for the ultimate warm or cold salad (try the beets shaved after cooking and removing the skin, with chopped garlic, apple cider vinegar, and olive oil adding the steamed tops in after for more nutrients; even better the next day after the juices marinade in this extraordinary salad)!

  • Blueberries (frozen)

  • Cabbage (green)--we have bulk so try to get your sauerkraut orders in early to stock up for the winter!! Ask us when pre-ordering!

  • Carrots--with tops!

  • Elderberries (frozen)

  • Garlic

  • Herbs — limited supply of cilantro, celery, chives, dill, lavender leaves, mint, parsley, sage, as well as other fresh and dried options; pre-order to confirm varieties & availability!

  • Squash — enjoy the varieties rich in vitamins A, B6, and C as well as folate, magnesium, fiber, riboflavin, phosphorus, and especially potassium. Helpful tools to help our bodies prepare for and endure the cold winter months ahead!!

As always, our produce is GMO-free and grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides — and we make sure it stays that way, even for crops that are tricky to grow naturally!

This week’s options include:

  • A2 protein/grass-fed cow's milk, butter, buttermilk, cheese (cottage, cheddar and a variety of others), French dip, Kefir (plain), sour cream, yogurt (plain), & whipping cream AND Goat Cheese this week!

  • Chicken & Duck eggs

Meat Availability

This week’s options (while supplies last) include:

  • Beef Prime Steaks: Sold Out! Next availability anticipated by the 26th of October 2022!

  • Beef Savory Steaks: Cubed, Round (Eye, Top, and Bottom), PLUS Flat Iron, Mock Tenderloin, Skirt and more!

  • Beef Roasts: Rump (or Rolled Rump), Sirloin Tip and Top & Bottom Round Roasts. 

  • Beef Grill Options: Ground (including ground beef and chuck), Patties (3/pkg), Stew Meat, Soup Bones, Shank Bones, Tallow and more! We're also carrying The Brooklyn Hot Dog Company dogs: Classic Beef and Beef & Pork! Chef Tony takes great pride in his work as he seeks the best possible ingredients both in the quality of the meat and in the spices that go into his dogs!

  • Chicken (fresh & frozen available this week): Whole and Cut-ups (breasts--boneless & bone in, drums, leg quarters, and wings), Ground Chicken, Soup Bones (necks and backs) and Organ Meats (feet, heart, liver & gizzards). 

  • Lamb: 

    • Ground Lamb or Ground Lamb Patties—3 or 4 pieces/patty,

    • Lamb Loin, Rib, Sirloin, or Shoulder Chops

    • Lamb Merguez Sausage Links—enjoy sweet, delicious, and savory scents! Selling fast, try them while you can!

    • Lamb Stew Meat, Shank, Leg of Lamb (Bone In), Lamb Shoulder Roast, Lamb Arm & Neck Roast, and organ meats

  • Pork: Sweet Italian & Hot Italian, Ethiopian Berbere, Fresh Kielbasa, Merquez, Mild Breakfast, Real Vermonter's Maple, and Oaxacan Adobo Sausage this week! All from our pannage raised pork and organically sourced spice blends (featuring the Teeny Tiny Spice Co).

    • Pork Chops (thick and thin), steaks, and more! Other cuts: Neck Bones, Soup Bones, Organ Meats (ask about our 2 for 1 options), Back Fat (Great for making your own lard, sausage, or using just like it is to grease your skillet!).

    • We have Bacon, Ham, and Ham Hocks in limited supply, if you haven't come by yet this summer for a taste, please do before supplies run out!

    • We're also carrying a variety of smoked bacon sausage options from Big Fork (from Berkshire Hogs raised on pasture): Maple & Brown Sugar Bacon, Hickory & Applewood Bacon, Aged Cheddar Bacon, Bacon & Ale, and Chicken & Bacon Sausage.   • Rabbit: Whole Rabbit planned to be available this week!

  • Salmon: Kvarøy Arctic Rope Hung, Smoked Salmon sustainably raised in Norway where they are doing what they can to protect our seas and share their long traditions with the rest of us. Their waters and fish are pristine, and the Kvarøy Arctic team is working tirelessly to keep it that way. “We must leave the environment in the same or better shape than when we began.” —Alf-Gøran Knutsen, CEO of Kvarøy Arctic. We are out of the Salmon Filets & Burgers but hope to re-stock in Nov 2022! 

  • Tilapia: Ask us about our fresh frozen, local/low carbon footprint sustainably raised tilapia! We hope to have this available soon and are excited to have it!

  • Turkey (frozen): Breast, Drumsticks, Soup Bones (including backs and feet), and Organ Meats. We hope to have our ground turkey back by the end of Nov 2022!
