We know it’s hard to believe, but with autumn right around the corner, our summer produce availability becomes quite unpredictable. We think it’s safe to say that our cucumbers are done for the season, with zucchini just barely hanging on. But never fear, a whole new bounty of seasonal produce is on the horizon: think turnips and winter squash (acorn, butternut, spaghetti, etc.)! 

We still have heirloom tomatoes, eggplant, green beans, and watermelon, but who knows how long these harvests will last, so get them while you can! 🍉 🫑 We should continue to have plenty of pepper varieties for at least the next couple of weeks. We also have an abundance of beets, carrots, garlic, leeks, green onions, red Florence, fresh herbs (parsley, basil, etc.), potatoes (purple, red, white), and more!

This week’s local fresh harvest includes a stunning, summer abundance!!

• Apples (fresh)

• Beets

• Blackberries (frozen)

• Blueberries (frozen)

• Carrots! Including rainbow, purple, and our standard delicious!

• Cherry Tomatoes—many varieties and multiple, daily harvests! 

• Eggplant—plenty for prepping and storing your favorite relish or baba ganoush! Another week of abundance—won’t last!

• Elderberries (frozen)

• Garlic—beautiful, delicious, large bulbs

• Herbs—Fresh (Italian basil, celery, mint, oregano, parsley, sage, spearmint, etc.) and dried options available!

As always, our produce is GMO-free and grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides — and we make sure it stays that way, even for crops  that are tricky to grow naturally!

Dairy & Eggs

This week’s options include:

• Grass-fed, organic, non-homogenized, low heat pasteurized milk, butter, buttermilk, cheese  (GGC sharp cheddar and cottage cheese), kefir, sour cream, whipping cream, and yogurt! 

• Chicken eggs AND duck eggs this week! Our eggs are hand harvested and cleaned. Our chickens are raised on not simply organic but also a soy free grain mix along with their free range diet. There really is nothing like the consistency and flavor of these delectable treats from heritage breeds . . . we bring out the connoisseurs!

This week’s options (while supplies last) include:

• Beef Prime Steaks: Chuckeye, Denver, Filet, NY Strip, Ribeye, Sirloin, and T-Bone re-stock!

• Beef Savory Roasts, Steaks & Ribs: Brisket, Chuck, Chuck Arm, Flat Iron, Mock Tenderloin, Rump & Sirloin Tip Roasts and Steaks, and Round (eye, top, and bottom round) steaks. Flank and Skirt steak re-stock Thursday!

• Beef Grill Options: Beef Patties (3 or 4 pk). Re-stock of Ground Beef, Chuck, and Round! We're also carrying The Brooklyn Hot Dog Company dogs: All Beef or Beef & Pork! Buy two or more packages for a 10% discount (see our boxes on our pre-order form)!
