It's Winter Squash Season!

Squash is a helpful tool to prepare our bodies to endure the colder winter months ahead. We carry a variety of farm-fresh squash including acorn, butternut, and spaghetti which are all rich in vitamins A, B6, and C as well as folate, magnesium, fiber, riboflavin, phosphorus, and potassium. Don't miss out on these tasty "natural multivitamins" and stock up before they are out of season!

As a reminder, our store is an immunocompromised safe zone and masks are required if you make the choice to shop in person. We also offer pre-ordering on our website with curbside pickup if you prefer to not mask. We appreciate you and your business! Stop by the store during business hours:
• Wednesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays: 10am - 5pm
• Saturdays: 10am - 4pm

Produce

This week’s harvest includes a variety of fresh herbs, leafy greens, root vegetables, squash, and more while supplies last! 

  • Apples—fresh, local, delicious, and like the rest of what we do, no chemicals! Honeycrisp, Gala, Jonagold!

  • Beets

  • Blueberries (frozen)

  • Cabbage (green)

  • Carrots

  • Garlic—beautiful, large bulbs and two varieties in limited supply!

  • Herbs — limited supply; pre-order to confirm varieties & availability!

  • Horseradish

  • Jerusalem Artichokes

  • Lettuce

  • Mushrooms—fresh and dried Maitake and dried shiitake!!

  • Onions

  • Peppers -- Cayenne & Jalapeño

  • Potatoes— Kennebec (limited--time to stock up), Purple, Red Nolan, & Red Fingerlings delicious!!

  • Squash — enjoy the varieties rich in vitamins A, B6, and C as well as folate, magnesium, fiber, riboflavin, phosphorus, and especially potassium. Helpful tools to prepare our bodies for the cold winter months ahead!

As always, our produce is GMO-free and grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides — and we make sure it stays that way, even for crops that are tricky to grow naturally! 

Dairy & Eggs

This week’s options include:

  • A2 protein/grass-fed cow's milk, butter, buttermilk, cheese (cottage and a variety of others), Eggnog, Kefir (plain), sour cream, yogurt (plain), & whipping cream!

  • Chicken & Duck eggs

Meat Availability

This week’s options (while supplies last) include:

  • Beef Prime Steaks: Ribeye, NY Strip, and Sirloin Steaks in very limited supply!

  • Beef Savory Steaks: Chuck Arm Steaks, Cubed, and Round (Top and Bottom)!

  • Beef Roasts: Chuck, Rump (or Rolled Rump), Sirloin Tip and Top & Bottom Round Roasts!

  • Beef Grill Options: Ground Beef, Patties (3 or 4/pkg), Stew Meat, Soup Bones, Suet (Great for making your own tallow or using just like it is to grease your skillet!)) and more! We're also carrying The Brooklyn Hot Dog Company dogs: All Beef, Beef & Pork, and Pepperoni! Chef Tony takes great pride in his work as he seeks the best possible ingredients both in the quality of the meat and in the spices that go into his dogs!

  • Chicken (frozen for the season): Whole and Cut-ups (breasts--boneless & bone in, drums, leg quarters, thighs, and wings), Ground Chicken, Soup Bones (necks and backs) and Organ Meats (feet, heart, liver & gizzards).

  • Lamb: 

    • Ground Lamb or Ground Lamb Patties—4 pieces/patty,

    • Lamb Loin, Rib, Sirloin, or Shoulder Chops

    • Lamb Ribs or Soup Bones

    • Lamb Stew Meat, Shank, Lamb Shoulder, Arm & Neck Roast, and organ meats

  • Pork: Hot Italian, Ethiopian Berbere, Fresh Kielbasa, Merquez, Mild Breakfast, Real Vermonter's Maple, and Oaxacan Adobo Sausage this week! All from our pannage raised pork and organically sourced spice blends (featuring the Teeny Tiny Spice Co).

    • Pork Chops (thick and thin), steaks, and more! Other cuts: Organ Meats (ask about our 2 for 1 options), Back Fat (Great for making your own lard, sausage, or using just like it is to grease your skillet!).

    • We have Bacon in limited supply!

    • We're also carrying a variety of smoked bacon sausage options from Big Fork (from Berkshire Hogs raised on pasture): Bacon & Ale and Chicken & Bacon Sausage. Request a letter from Chef Lance, for details about his practices when placing your order!

  • Salmon: Kvarøy Arctic Rope Hung, Smoked Salmon sustainably raised in Norway where they are doing what they can to protect our seas and share their long traditions with the rest of us. Their waters and fish are pristine, and the Kvarøy Arctic team is working tirelessly to keep it that way. “We must leave the environment in the same or better shape than when we began.” —Alf-Gøran Knutsen, CEO of Kvarøy Arctic. We are out of the Salmon Filets & Burgers but hope to re-stock in Jan 2023!

  • Turkey (frozen for the season): Whole, Breast, Thighs, Drumsticks, Wings, Soup Bones (including backs and feet), and Organ Meats. We have our ground turkey back!
